Too Far series by Abbi Glines

She is only nineteen.

She is his new stepfather’s daughter.

She is still naïve and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother.

But for twenty-four year old Rush Finlay, she is the only thing that has ever been off limits. His famous father’s guilt money, his mother’s desperation to win his love, and his charm are the three reasons he has never been told no.

Blaire Wynn left her small farmhouse in Alabama, after her mother passed away, to move in with her father and his new wife in their sprawling beach house along the Florida gulf coast. She isn’t prepared for the lifestyle change and she knows she’ll never fit into this world. Then there is her sexy stepbrother who her father leaves her with for the summer while he runs off to Paris with his wife. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous. He is also getting under her skin. She knows he is anything but good for her and that he’ll never be faithful to anyone. He is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that…

Blaire just may have fallen too far. -Fallen Too Far summary on Goodreads.

I surprisingly loved the set up for these books. It was a little Jerry Springer/ Maury -ish. (This is your daddy, just kidding it's someone else, nope just kidding THIS is your father.) I thought that it would be cheesy, to the point that I couldn't handle it, but it was actually really well thought out. The mega secret that Rush was hiding was also pretty crazy. I had no clue that was going to happen! That is so major for me! I can usually see the climax coming a mile away...

but I was genuinely surprised!

Rush and Blaire had excellent chemistry. I will admit, at first I didn't understand the crazy draw Rush had to her, (besides obviously thinking she was attractive) but once it was all explained, it made the story even better. I think they were a really good match for each other. It was interesting to read, and hot as hell. Definitely steamy, and intense, I was rooting for them the whole way through the series.
I liked it, I liked it a lot.

I don't really have a guy picked out for Rush. Although I thought maybe the lead singer from Black Veil Brides would work, he doesn't fit it just right. Rush was perfectly complex. He came off as this rich asshole, but honestly had a heart of gold. He never treated anyone like crap unless they deserved it, and that was pretty damn charming. Even in his man slut days,  his cards were always on the table, he never lied or took advantage. I kind of wanted to slap him several times through the series, falling for his sisters crap or not telling Blaire his big secret earlier, but by the end of the series I couldn't imagine him being any different.
Ashley Benson is my perfect Blaire. I loved how sweet and strong she was. She always kept her head up and moved forward, which I think made her a great lead female character. She was forgiving and she tried her hardest to understand things from another persons point of view, but she didn't let them walk all over her. There was only one time in all four books that she had me yelling at my e-reader saying "What the hell are you doing?" but with all the crap she had to put up with, I got over it pretty quickly.

The only reason that I couldn't give these books 5 Keos, is the constant jump of time. When the books first started, she lost her dad five years ago. Then it was three. Then in one of them it was four. GOOD LORDIE! from what I understand. Five years ago she lost her sister, and two weeks later her dad left. Two years after he dad left, her mother became sick, and she finally died from her illness a month before Blaire came to Rosemary?! Does anyone have thoughts on this?

I love Rush and Blaire's books, and I was so happy to see that there will be books for their friends in the Rosemary Beach series. I'll start those next week and probably have a review up soon!

Lunarmorte series by Samantha Young

. 5

It’s bad enough feeling different among the human crowd, but feeling different among wolves?

No one said returning to her pack would be easy, especially after ten years without them, but seventeen year old Caia Ribeiro is unprepared for the realities of the transition. Raised in a world where kids aren’t scared by bedtime tales of the bogeyman but by the real life threat of enemy supernaturals who might come creeping into their community to kill them in their sleep, Caia is used to the darkness; she’s used to the mystery and the intrigue of the ancient underworld war she’s bound to by chance of birth. What she’s having trouble with are pack members treating her with wary suspicion, the Elders tucking secrets behind their backs out of her sightline, and her young Alpha, Lucien, distracting her, with a dangerous attraction, from her decision to uncover the truth.

But as the saying goes ‘the truth will out’ and when it does, Caia will only have so long to prepare herself before the war comes pounding on their door threatening to destroy the safe, secret lives of the wolves… and the girl they protect.- Moon Spell summary on Goodreads

I FREAKIN FINISHED IT! AHHHH!!!
Yay me! Seriously though, I have been meaning to finish this series for the last six months! Things just kept happening and it kind of got forgotten about, but now it's done!

Alright to the nitty gritty.

This series was certainly interesting. Instead of the traditional bite from a wolf that changes you, it's gentetic. They, along with vampires and witches (called magiks) get their powers from the Greek gods. Again it was kind of interesting to read about a totally different take on the supernatural world that has been done over and over. I would have liked for the story to be more in depth, to learn have learned more about the pack. Sometimes I felt like the lunarmorte world wasn't as fully developed as it could have been, but it was still pretty good.

I wasn't really sure how I felt about Caia at first. She was kind of annoying, but she got soooo much better as the series developed. By the time it was over I really liked her.

Lucien, I never really fell for him. He was a jackass, pretty stubborn, sometimes sexy and alpha all the way. That being said, that was really it. There wasn't a whole lot of dimension to his character, so it was hard for me to get too attached. PLUS HE NEVER LEARNED HIS LESSON.  In each book there came a point when he needed to trust Caia, or he needed to be honest with her. He choose to do the opposite of that at every turn! How many times do you have to go through this, how many times do you have to hurt your mates feelings before you get it!!!
SERIOUSLY?!?

I also didn't think Lucien and Caia had great chemistry. It went from not trusting each other, to lust, to hate, then epic love. I think that by the end of the books, I was finally starting to like them together, but then it ENDED so kind of a let down.

Again I really liked this series by the time it was over. It had a very exciting and lovely ending. Do I think that I will re-read it in the future? No. Is it one my favorites? No. But it was good and I'm happy that I followed through and finished it.

YAY I'M DONE!! BYE!!

Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren

An ambitious intern. A perfectionist executive. And a whole lot of name calling.

Whip-smart, hardworking, and on her way to an MBA, Chloe Mills has only one problem: her boss, Bennett Ryan. He's exacting, blunt, inconsiderate—and completely irresistible. A Beautiful Bastard.

Bennett has returned to Chicago from France to take a vital role in his family's massive media business. He never expected that the assistant who'd been helping him from abroad was the gorgeous, innocently provocative—completely infuriating—creature he now has to see every day. Despite the rumors, he's never been one for a workplace hookup. But Chloe's so tempting he's willing to bend the rules—or outright smash them—if it means he can have her. All over the office.

As their appetites for one another increase to a breaking point, Bennett and Chloe must decide exactly what they're willing to lose in order to win each other. -The Beautiful Bastard summary on Goodreads.

Sexy! Holy whoa this was a sexy read! That is the first and probably most important thing to say about this book.

I really liked the character. They were strong and funny to watch, as they go back and forth in their verbal showdowns.
Bennett was a strong alpha male, that I sometimes wanted to smack him across the face. I still liked him though and he made for a very interesting male lead.

Chloe, she was sassy and badass. I loved how capable and empowering she was.

The only reason I couldn't give this book 5 keos, is because it was lacking some serious relationship building between the two. It went frome hate to love so fast (with lots of steamy naughty bits in-between) but I would have liked to see them actually bond over something other than sex. It was still an amazing book and I will finish the series.

Only Forever by Cristin Harber

Grayson Ford and Emma Kinglsey—close since they were kids, opposites in every way. He’s the stuff high school crushes are made of, Mister Popular, and captain of every team. She’s artsy, cute, and not in his league, though fully aware of Summerland’s "I Dream of Dating Grayson Ford" support group.

I can’t say no. The girl’s had my heart since before I knew it went missing.

He hides a life of hell. His father hates him, his mother’s gone. Emma is his only savior, yet she doesn’t know her power over him. She’s the only girl he wants, the only one he could ever tell—though he won’t.

I’m stronger, bigger, more of a man than he’ll ever be, but because I ruined his life, I’ve taken his crap, his attacks, the vulgar nature of his existence.

Until she discovers Gray’s embarrassment, his humiliation. Emma fights for him, for a chance. Theirs is a Cinderella story that she believes impossible. But as the layers peel back, it’s just a guy who needs a girl in order to keep breathing.

My mind is already doodling Mrs. Grayson Ford in imaginary notebooks. He has no clue where my head is at… But, given that I didn’t see what just happened coming, maybe I have no clue where his head is at either.- Only For Him summary on Goodreads.

Only Forever is the final book in the Only Novella Series by Cristin Harber.

Grayson and Emma! How I love these two. And honestly what a cool way to tell a story.
Each book keeps their romance going. From high school (Only for Him),finding  each other 3 years later (Only for Her), learning how to co-parent their child (Only for Us) , and finally their happily ever after (Only Forever).

I really enjoyed these books! My only real complaint is because they were so small, and there was always some kind of new hurdle for the characters, we never just get to watch them be happy in love. Don't get me wrong, they still gave me all kinds of feels, but it would have been nice to experience them together without some kind of obstacle constantly being in their way.

Though on the other hand, Only Forver and the others were intense and exciting. Heart breaking and warming. I LOVED THEM

Only forever was amazing! And a perfect ending to this small, sweet series.  AND.. I hope to see more Grayson in the upcoming delta books!!

Fight for Me by Bethany Bazile

I just needed someone to show me how to fight for me…

When Ryder Hayes sweeps back into her life, she has something to hold on to, but just as quickly as he appeared he was gone. Ryder has always wanted Lexi, but he’s never fought so hard against something in his life. Saving Lexi from her past was never on his agenda, but he could never bear letting her drown in it. With his UFC championship title on the line, the last thing he needs is to be distracted by Lexi. When she’s thrown back into his life he can no longer fight their attraction.

But once he claims her he knows he’ll never let go. -Fight For Me summary on Goodreads.

The synopsis sounded really intriguing. Plus it was a fighter book (one of my favorite types of romance novels). So of course I HAD to read it.

I have to say, it was really poorly executed. If I were to write down all of what I occured in the first thirty percent of the book, it would sounds interesting enough. However the characters, drove me nuts.

1. The main guy Ryder, was a huge douche. I dont mean like a guy with a hard exterior who had a good heart on the inside. I mean a childish douche canoe who doesnt care about anyone but himself. Yeah, his parental situation sucked, but you're really gonna take it out on everyone? Get over yourself.

2. Alexis.  Whiney, annoying, spoiled brat. Couldnt relate to her at all.

The two main characters had no chemistry. I found it impossible to root for them. As interesting and awesome as this book could have been, I just couldnt finish it. It was to much work to try and care about these two. In the end I just couldn't get into it. One Keo.

Stage Dive Series by Kylie Scott

Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this.

Evelyn Thomas’s plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure as hell never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened.

One thing is for certain, being married to rock and roll’s favourite son is sure to be a wild ride.
-Lick summary on Goodreads

OH MY GAW-ISH.

Alright, I will admit. Normally I do not go for the rocker bad boy books.
NORMALLY.

Kylie Scott TOTALLY CHANGED MY MIND! NEW FAVE ALERT** BEEP BEEP!

Lick-Super sexy read. Loved Evelyn and David. They had pretty amazing chemistry and the whole drunk vegas wedding story, was cute and charming instead of cheesy. Also the conflict towards the end of the book that lead to some distance between the characters, made me teary eyed and had me making frustrated noises at my e-reader.

Play- (Cassandra's favorite) I LOVE ME SOME MAL. He is such a goof ball. A sexy, sweet, dorky goofball. This one did come off a little cheesy, how they ended up spending so much time together, but it was cute, and they had a very sweet romance, so I still loved it.

Lead- I really, really disliked Jimmy in the previous books. Like wanted to smack him upside the head, dislike. Lena though, loved her. She was feisty and didn't take any of Jimmy's crap. I think their chemistry is what kept my attention and made me want to discover more about the douche canoe. They were such a good match, even though I still wanted to smack Jimmy at the end, I did love this book.

Deep- BEN, OH SWEET SWEET BEN!!  My main man, for sure, and Lizzy she was just excellent. I loved how young Lizzy was but she wasn't some clingy pathetic mess that I couldn't stand. She was strong and secure with her self and with Ben. My only complaint is how tiny his book was, I was so excited but he only had 14 chapters! I needed more! This was one was my ultimate favorite, and made me teary eyed and I may have slightly swooned for Ben.

This whole series gets 5 Keos
